Marketplace
Search plans, browse by location or provider, and start a VM launch
The marketplace is where you discover and compare compute plans from NodeRings providers.
| Entry point | URL |
|---|---|
| Public search (home) | noderings.com |
| Authenticated launch | /platform/virtual-machines/create |
| Provider catalog | /platform/providers/{providerId} |
Marketplace purchases require a client organization. See Troubleshooting → Client org required.
Search from the home page
The landing page search table lets you filter plans by region, specs, price, and billing type. Selecting a plan saves a launch intent and routes you to the create flow with that plan pre-selected.
You can search anonymously; signing in is required to complete purchase.
Browse modes on create
Open /platform/virtual-machines/create. Two tabs:
By location
Pick a region (city / country), then compare hosting providers and plans available in that geography. Good when latency or data residency matters.
By provider
Open the provider directory, select a seller, then choose from their plan matrix (regions × plans × addons). Good when you already trust a specific host.
Provider directory page
Each provider has a catalog page showing:
- Organization name and marketplace profile
- Regions where they sell
- Plan sizes, prices, and billing types (subscription vs usage)
- Optional addons (extra IPs, backups, snapshot storage)
Deep link format: /platform/providers/{providerId}.
Launch summary
Before submit, the launch summary shows plan, region, provider, OS, hostname, auth method, and estimated cost. Confirm only after:
- A default payment method is on file — Billing
- Auth is configured (SSH keys, password, or user-data) — SSH keys
Billing types at purchase
| Type | What you pay |
|---|---|
| Subscription | Recurring flat fee per billing period |
| Usage-based | Metered consumption (hourly), often with a monthly cap |
Addons inherit the plan's billing model. Full detail: Billing.
