Client and provider organizations
An organization is your company record on NodeRings, legal identity, support contacts, branding, and (for providers) marketplace trust status.
When you create an organization you choose a type.
The organization type is permanent: it cannot be changed after creation. Create a Provider org if you intend to sell on the marketplace.
| Type | Purpose | Verification |
|---|---|---|
| Client | Buys VM plans and services from marketplace providers | Not required |
| Provider | Hosts infrastructure and sells plans on the NodeRings marketplace | Required: domain verification, business profile, and NodeRings review |
What provider verification involves
Before a provider can sell on the marketplace, complete these steps in order:
- Verify your domain: prove you control the brand domain shown to customers (Domain)
- Complete your business profile: legal name, address, tax/VAT, support contacts, and related details at
/organization/settings - NodeRings review (KYC): our team verifies your registered business and profile; approval unlocks infrastructure and billing
- Plan validation: after infrastructure is ready, create plans, pass preflight, and run live validation on each sell-path node before it appears in marketplace search
Provider onboarding flow
Work through these steps in order at /organization/settings.
Create a provider organization
Open the organization switcher → Create organization, select Provider (Sells services to clients), enter a name, and submit.
A Community platform subscription is attached automatically. Until NodeRings approves your organization, infrastructure and billing stay locked, but you can work on domain verification and your profile in the meantime.
Verify your domain
Prove domain ownership before the profile form unlocks. See Domain for the DNS TXT and HTTPS methods.
- One domain per organization
- Domain names are globally unique: only one org can register a given domain
- Burner / disposable domains are rejected
A verified domain cannot be deleted. Choose the domain you intend to list under carefully.
Complete your business profile
After the domain shows verified, the profile form unlocks. Fill in accurate legal and support details. Customers and NodeRings rely on them for trust. Then click Request review and save.
Wait for NodeRings review
While pending, the submit button shows Review Requested (disabled until you change profile fields again). You can still update organization settings and domain endpoints, but infrastructure and billing remain locked until approval.
NodeRings reviews your registered business details (legal name, address, tax/VAT identifiers, support contacts, logo, and related profile data). Approval unlocks the full provider product.
Profile and business identity fields
Provider profile data is collected at /organization/settings. The fields below apply to provider orgs only. Client orgs use a minimal name-focused profile.
